Through upgrades and innovation the Gold Bar Wastewater Treatment Plant remains at the forefront of wastewater treatment technology.
Every day we collect and treat wastewater from 900,000 people located in Edmonton, and that number keeps growing. We're continuing to plan for the future of wastewater treatment in our city.
Earlier this year we hosted several workshops with community members and special interest groups who were interested in projects at the Gold Bar Wastewater Treatment Plant.
We also held an open house in June where we updated our shared goals between EPCOR and the community, design principles for the future site development, a proposed public engagement framework and four projects currently in the planning phase. During this workshop we gathered feedback on these topics and also demonstrated our commitment to keeping all future development within our existing fenceline.
